A strong DIY ethic has seen Californian rapper MC Lars develop a cult following over the past eight years or so. Having collaborated with artists ranging from Bowling for Soup and Wheatus, to MC Chris and K.Flay, Lars has established himself as probably the coolest nerd on the planet. After recently forming his own record label, Lars’s first act was to sign up Weerd Science, the MC moniker of former Coheed and Cambria (and current Terrible Things) drummer Josh Eppard. Along with Lars’s drummer, Jon Thatcher Longley (Flash Fire), the guys not only gave SoundSense Online a backstage interview, but also an exclusive a cappella rendition of new collaboration, How To Be An Indie Rapper, taken from forthcoming mix tape, Indie Rocket Science. One word for it, awesome!
